In Marlia, on the hills overlooking the plains of Lucca and Capannori, lies our small farm. We moved here in 2020 with our three children and, with the start of this activity, we are striving with dedication and passion to continue the life and history of this place, once the beloved property of my grandparents.
Above us stand the historic village of Matraia and the Pizzorne plateau, and overlooking the fields rises the ancient Bourbon observatory of the Specola. Our headquarters is a farmhouse dating back to the 1600s, always inhabited by farmers who took care of the surrounding land.
At the beginning of the 1800s, it was enclosed within the perimeter wall of the park of the Royal Villa of Marlia, once much larger than it is today, to provide it with crops, in particular olive trees and vines, the most important and significant of the hillside area.
The main farming activity is the production of extra virgin olive oil.
In addition to the olive grove, we also take care of fruit trees and garden produce – cultivated in a completely natural way – together with a small beekeeping project aimed at education and the production of local honey.
Since July 2023 our farm has become educational, accredited to the Tuscan Region’s network (Operator no. AF20215854). This step, so much desired and tenaciously pursued also through work for the removal of architectural barriers (structure registered on #SenzaBarriereApp, the app by the Lucca Senza Barriere Association that guided us in this adaptation), allows us to welcome anyone who wishes to participate in direct contact with nature and in learning about this territory.
Since August 2024, our honey has been certified organic (Certification body Bioagricert, code IT BIO 007 A45L, pursuant to Article 35, Paragraph 1, of Regulation (EU) 2018/848) while the land and its crops are undergoing conversion.
Alongside this farming activity, we offer those who wish to spend peaceful time surrounded by nature – while still being close to numerous historical and artistic attractions – a few rooms where they can stay with Bed and Breakfast service.

Agriculture
From the completely natural care of the olive grove and our bees, we obtain extra virgin olive oil and honey, organically certified, as well as seasonal fruit and vegetable products.

Educational Farm
Our farm is a place where you can connect with nature and with the agricultural, cultural, and historical resources of our area, spending a day outdoors with schoolmates or family.

Bed & Breakfast
Those who wish to rest in the green hills of Lucca – with the possibility of visiting the city and its surroundings, ranging from the mountains to the coast, within a short distance – can stay at our bed & breakfast, which offers cozy rooms surrounded by olive groves.

On April 28, 2021, our small farm was officially established, dedicated to caring for an ancient land located in a hilly area rich in tradition and history. Our main activities include tending to olive trees and bees, alongside vineyard cultivation and small-scale seasonal fruit and vegetable production.
In the spring of 2022, we started our hospitality services with a bed and breakfast. We offer two small suites to welcome families, couples, groups of friends, and anyone wishing to stay for leisure or work.
On April 28, 2023, we began our journey into beekeeping with a small apiary, which we manage using natural methods to produce honey, certified organic as of August 1, 2024.

On July 13, after a long period of study, planning, and adjustments to the farm, including the removal of architectural barriers, we launched our educational farm program. Accredited by the 'Network of Educational Farms in Tuscany' (Operator no. AF20215854), we welcome schools of all levels, families, and groups, offering educational outings and activities based on our learning project. During the summer months, we also offer 'nature summer camps.'
